Standard - iPod - CF crashes after hibernation

Please give a brief description of the issue here
reopen: CF crashes if ipod is not ready after hibernation

Which product are you experiencing this problem with
Standard

What version of Centrafuse are you running
2.0 Gold

What module in Centrafuse are you experiencing this issue in
iPod

Are you able to reproduce this bug at will
Yes

What were you doing when you encountered the bug
To reproduce this bug:

-Connect ipod
-Listening to sound from ipod
-Hibernate
-Disconnect ipod
-Resume (without connecting ipod again)
-If "pause" was pressed before hibernation, press "play"

CF will crash.

This also happens if ipod is connected but not ready; in my special case windows brings the message that "an usb device is running on lower speeds (usb 1.1)", but in fact ipod is connected to USB 2.0 port.

Are the PC specs under your user name the same as the system you are reporitng this bug for
Yes

If you answerd 'No' above, then please detail your system here

ok, I now have done a fresh install windows install (format c with CF standard and get those crashes all the time (cause ipod is sometimes not available after resume).

ALtough I cannot provide a system report yet (will provide on in the next days), I can post the message I get in the Event-Vierwer

To answer scotts question on the other thread, yes the issues with centrafuse crashing are still there, although they do not happen as often anymore since I connected ipod to the powered hub.

Im running centrafuse in "tesing mode" right now, means I do not replace the shell or hide the taskbar and I've got the debugging parameters (-logevents -disable3rdplugins) on.

As I would like to test the correct functionality of my resolved other ipod issue for a little while now I'm not into "playing arriund with it" right now.

So please give me two more weeks or so and I will reproduce the issue to post a system report.

BTW: The same happens if you close CF, delete all the music (either on your ipod or even on your music folder!), start CF again and try to access ipod or music - CF will crash and after that you will have to even delete your profile on [local data]\centrafuse to get music working again, as it will crash, whenever you try to play music in CF.

As this error crashs the whole .NET runtime, I believe this has something to do with exception handling, could be wrong though.

It's the ipod, it's not there (or mounted) when returning from hibernation, there are a series of lines like this:

05:50:96> MUSIC: loadSong(): filename=D:\ipod_control\Music\F00\2033.mp3
05:50:98> MUSIC: loadSong(): Invalid song - 1

then, after trying to load every song in the playlist, we get the crash. looking to see what can be done about it...

Ok, so it's may related to: CF crashes if ipod not ready after hibernation.html

I'd be very glad you could look into a solution for that problem, because if CF crashs and I run it as a shell I have to reset the carpc to get it working again, and I've got now reset-switch in the front...

Maybe a check-routine that checks if ipod is really mounted after resume before trying to access it, and if its not bring an error message like "ipod not ready" or so?

believe I have this fixed, the fix will auto eject that playlist if there are found to be an excessive number of missing files in it.

Please re-open thread if issue persists on next update release...
