Standard - Miscellaneous - CF displays splash screen after selecting (running) Sygic application
Please give a brief description of the issue here CF displays splash screen after selecting (running) Sygic application
Which product are you experiencing this problem with Standard
What version of Centrafuse are you running V2.2
What module in Centrafuse are you experiencing this issue in Miscellaneous
Are you able to reproduce this bug at will Yes
What were you doing when you encountered the bug 1. Started CF
2. Start Sygic Drive XP V7.72 (installed as an application)
3. Exit Full screen mode
4. Select menu option Windows
5. Do something on the desktop
6. Maximize the CF window from the Windows XP task bar
7. Select the Sygic application from the menu.
Then CF opens the spash screen and displays the status line "Audio starting" (in Dutch in my case). Then you can't do anything anymore: Wherever you click, no response. Note: There is no keyboard available, so I can't try things like CTRL ALT DEL or ALT TAB.
The only way to escape from this situation is putting the system to sleep (hibernate) and wake it up again.
Because CF is not reachable, I can't make an bug report in this situation.
Are the PC specs under your user name the same as the system you are reporting this bug for Yes
If you answerd 'No' above, then please detail your system here

please set up another external application, run through your steps like you described, let me know if this happens with all apps on your system. Because I just tried with Word and Wordpad, and it doesn't happen here, so I cannot easily reproduce. I do not own Sygic to test with. It looks like I will need a system report to see what's happening if I can't reproduce.

OK, I will try this ASAP.
Maybe when I connect a keyboard to the system, I can CTRL-ALT-DEL or ALT-TAB to get access again and then create a system report.

Well I did test it, but I can't reproduce the original problem anymore (for this moment).
I will try this in the next days. Maybe I'll be more lucky than.

have you tested with other application yet? i cannot reproduce this, several users have reported this being an issue but only with sygic. please confirm that this can or cannot be reproduced for you with applications other than sygic.

I did try this, but I had difficulties reproducing this problem with Sygic too at that time.
But the last week I had this problem several times again, so maybe more luck this time.
I will prepare a test and when I can reproduce with Sygic, I will try it with other applications too.

Just succeeded to reproduce the problem:
- Went to the desktop to restart Bluetooth
- Reopened the CF main window
- selected another application (GpsTmc_debug.exe from the CF main system folder)
- Went back to the main menu
- Selected Sygic application
- First Sygic appears and refreshes the screen 2 or 3 times very fast and then the CF startup screen shows up with a blue status message "Audio starting"
OK stupid enough, I did not have event logging enabled at the moment, so I have to try it again to generate a (V3.0 RC1) bug report.
So It seem to be Sygic specific. Maybe there is another difference: I did not specify an audio device for GpsTmc_debug.exe.
The reason that this problem is hard to reproduce can be timing. Another thing that could be a hint is the status message "Audio starting". Maybe Sygic does something to reinitialize the audio system, with is stubbed by CF (BASE?) which is normally done at CF startup only.
