If anyone wants a more permanent install for their OBD2 interface. Consider getting an extra cable like I did.
I bought one of these cables to solder into the OBD harness rather than having to block the plug:

^That way I can leave my carPC OBD2 interface "always connected". So if my car needs to go to the shop or the dealer for whatever reason, the original OBD2 port is still available for use. My car going to a mechanic would be unusual though, since I am a mechanic & I do my own work. Who knows though... One day I might start getting too lazy to work on my own stuff.
