Umm, that's an all-in-one stand-alone unit. The "windows software" option is something that's specific to Auterra (I use a different one of their devices) and it's not a standard datalink pass-through. There's much more info at the Auterra link: DashDyno SPD

CF requires an "ELM" chip interface to talk to and pick data from. If you're concerned about trouble codes, I don't know of an OBD-II interface that _doesn't_ support them. I have a few, and personally, the one from OBDPros is my favorite: OBDPros
