Hey guys,
I know transreflective has been the talk of town since the technology has become available and people have actually seen the difference. Well since I am such a nice guy

and also since I wanted to know what all the talk was about I did my own little test. In the picture below I have taken the same exact model screen (7.0" LVDS that will be available in the Co-Pilot) and have had modifications done to 2 models and left 1 as a control. The bottom right is just the LCD with no glass touch screen to block any light (sorry i wanted a picture of CF but i ran out of sunlight before i could take it

). The bottom left is the LCD with a sunlight readable touch screen with several 3M films. And of course the top LCD has had a complete transreflective upgrade done with a touch panel that complements the upgrade. You can definitely see the difference between the 3 models but the biggest difference is with the view angle that you get while in direct sunlight. it is very hard for me to show you the difference with pictures but it is there. Maybe I'll take a movie or something if there is enough interest.
