I agree. The rearview on a CarPC is useless only because when you start your car, you would have to wait till the PC boots then opens CF then you would have to click CAM. That is a big hassle. Another reason is, is that as you navigate through CF to change a song, you will leave that rear view.

In the end I decided to buy a rear view mirror screen. My setup is a bit much, but connected to the screen is a Digital Quad Processor which I have 3 cameras connected to. It combines all the CAMs onto one screen. So on the main screen I see the rear, then on the lower right and left hand corners, i see the left and right blind spots of my truck. All of it takes 2 seconds to turn on. My CAM system is made to run all the time as long as the car is on, because the flip down screen in the back blocks my view. i did the blind spots so I didnt have to waste time trying to hunt things in the blind spot. Now i look to one screen and see everything. All CAMs on my setup are composite.
