we are looking into a future iPod plugin that would work the way you describe, but you can use it now in the USB portion of the media player if it has mp3/wma files... iTunes plus supported with m4a will be added back soon...

The VIA licensing for AAC is done, working out a deal for the licensing for FAAD2, which is going... the code is ready and tested, just have to sign the deals...

so legally we are half way there...

ok, was not a good idea to say IPOD. I want to insert my becker cascade Pro carradio what is much better from audio quality and radio fm functions as the infill. TMC, RDS,Navi, Phone, BT Support and others(from line out of the becker radio to line (mic) in of the Infill g4.

i´m not shure,is the sound quality of the one audio Input of the G4 (MIC) really good to insert a line level signal.

i have sell an USB Soundcard ´with line in, but i dont know how i insert the signal of the additional soundcard to the infill g4...

but at all, i think is for all users a good idea to realize two soundcard support and a additinal Line In Input selector if a user it want.. i read much in other threats about this wishes ;-)

The INFILL plugin does not work with the new Infill G4.
Back to formal time.
No tilt, no radio, nothing.


Please note that the Infill Station software itself was not working at all.
It was simply not possible to install it :
Yesterday, carTFT has received a new release of the INFILL station. 1.6.8
And now, INFILL station do install properly and Radio, Tilt works properly.

I guess something has changed somehow.
It would be really great if the CF Infill plugin could be updated as well

Hi David,
thanks for the reply and sory if my post was not clear enough.
I have just received my G4 from carTFT.
I don't know was is different between the G4 you have and the G4 that are sold by carTFT.
But at the moment, it does not work properly.

The G4 was delivered with some software and drivers.
(I'm not at home so the information might not be fully accurate.)
Drivers
INFILL DFU&USB 2.03
INFILL TFT touch screen

Software: Infill station 1.6.6

It was not possible at all to install the INFILL Station 1.6.6
After several claims received by carTFT, we are now able to install the INFILL station 1.6.8 properly. And this software version is working properly: Screen tilt, luminosity and radio.


With CF demo 1.46 + INFILL CF plugin, we are now in the same situation as with the INFILL station software
=> it does not work at all. No radio, no tilt, no luminosity

As a result, I guess that the new G4 delivered have something different (incompatible) in comparison of the old one.

I can provide you with whatever informations or log you may need if you ask me.

At the moment I can only add that my bios version is 2.02 and I'm not the only one that has such trouble.



FYI: streetdeck does not work as well with the radio.

I will see if something in the hardware changed... Was the unit shipped with 1.6.6? Did nothing work when you received the unit?

why did you need to install anything at all?

Hi,
well the G4 comes from cartft.
It was shipped with the hard drive, dvd ready to be mounted.
The unit was delivered with a maxan cd that contains the drivers and the infill station 1.6.6.
To make everything clear, I do not intend to use infill station. But as it was delivered with, at least I tried it.

After installation of win xp pro french sp2 + the received drivers, I tried first to install infill station. The installation did even not stats. It says this hardware is not a G4 or INFILL DCU&USBis not installed.
Unfortunately, INFILL DFU&USB is installed properly and its release is 2.0.3

Then I installed Centrafuse + G4 plugin from your web site. As I wrote, centrafuse sounds really great but all related to G4 (radio, tilt and luminosity) does not work at all,

I can add that StreetDeck has the same issue.

Now I have installed INFILL Station 1.6.8, and within it the radio do work properly.
But still no solution with your software.

So in short, I need to install something for the simple reason that nothing is installed.
