I just today received the updated SDK... I do not have a new unit, so I am trying to figure out if the new version will still work with the old units...

I will get an update out as soon as possible... we are working on it now...

Hi David,
this sounds quite a great news.
At least it sounds that something changed.
Ideally, we would like to know what has changed.
But if at least it works, that's great

Just want to confirm that the radio does not work through an external USB soundcard? Does it only work through the internal card?

centrafuse instal DVD?

I want to clean-install everything in my G4
Does anyone know how to do this from the restore dvd without installing any of the Street Deck software?
The idea is to take advantage of whatever tweaking the mp3car store did to the OS and use the windows license that I paid for but without having to reinstall the Street deck specific software

what version of xp are they using? is it "xplite"?
If not, what is the xplite folder doing in there?

Also I noticed there are some new versions of the infill drivers and bios should I be installing those or not?

The best thing would obviously be a centrafuse DVD with all the necessary files to run CF successfully on the G4 out of the box (wishful thinking)

Do you guys reinstall with all the USB devises plugged in or should I install the OS first and plug in the USB devises afterwards? (in other words take the car apart again!)
Thanks

Personally,
*I install XP with the minimum external material.
* Upgrade everything,
* install apps like ghost, antivirus, tools
*install the ext mat.
* Upgrade everything,
* make a full backup or a ghost
* Install the key apps like CF, make the upgrade
* make a full backup or a ghost

I know it is pretty long, but easy to come back to previous situation without having to reinstall.

If only I would have done this for my G4 install !!! I would be able now to restore a ghost instead of fighting with my PC

For your question related to StreetDeck DVD, sorry, no idea

Infill G4 and Radio Buffering

I have never been able to get the radio buffering to work with the G4. If buffering is off the radio works but if it is on then nothing happens.

In RC2, I have the Realtek Line in selected for record device and line out for playback device.

Anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

Anyone here know how much RAM the G4 will take? I'll probably upgrade mine when I have it out of the dash at some point along with the hard drive. From what I have found it has one SO-DIMM slot for DDR2 memory, but no info on if it can only support a 1GB chip or go upto 2GB.

According to the G4 site in the U.K, it states " upgradable to 1GB".....

hope that helps!
