After resuming PC, radio buffer sometimes jumps to -29:59
This is with 2.0 RC6.1, but I saw it with older versions too. I think it's a severe bug since it requires you to restart CF at least every few days if you use the radio much.
- Play the radio with the buffer enabled. [EDIT: Don't need to play the radio for more than 10 minutes; maybe much less.]
- Rewind the buffer (still figuring out if this matters).
- Sleep and resume the PC.
- Play the radio.
- It may be necessary to repeat steps 3-4. The problem does not always happen, but I've seen it 3x in a few days and I don't do much driving.
Bug: Within a few minutes, the buffer jumps back to -29:59 or -29:58 (EDIT: even if there hadn't ever been 30 minutes of buffered radio). You can skip forward to the live stream, but then it will probably jump back to -29 again within a few minutes (EDIT: sometimes within seconds). Even switching to another station and back will not help; the only way to make it stop happening is to restart CF.
- Happens with or without Buffer Correction.
- Happens with or without Phone enabled.

Reason: Updated steps with more details after having the problem happen again today.

wow your playback really has a really hard time keeping up with recording. I think this is because you use the usb device for output, and onboard line-in, (am I remembering correctly from posts on mp3car?). We plan to look into better multi-soundcard scenarios after the official 2.0 release, if that's what the issue is...
Also, try using the "resume delay" in adv. general settings, this may give your system extra time (by the specified # of milliseconds) to initialize your usb soundcard before centrafuse runs re-init code... You could also use the radio "resume delay" in radio settings, which would delay just the radio re-init, that's all up to you, whatever might possibly work...

Sorry... I didn't reply since I was out of town. My G4 is out for repair (for an unrelated issue), with no ETA on its return to me.

The same basic thing happened again today. Phone is still disabled.
I resumed from standby and radio seemed to be working. But after a few minutes when I pressed a different radio preset button, the station did not change and the problem occurred.

It happened again yesterday.
This time I had Music active (instead of Radio) when I resumed the PC from standby, with a song playing.
When CF resumed, the buffer showed -0:14, and my attempts to change the volume just brought up the volume display with no bars in it (I forget now, but I think the song had failed to actually resume playing, and I thought the volume was too low to hear, so I tried to adjust the volume).
I switched to Radio, and the radio buttons would not respond.
Then I switched back to Music. The "-0:14" was gone, but I forget now if I was able to get any music to actually play before I restarted CF (this was very late at night and I was barely awake...).
It's possible that CF was already in the bad state from the before the system had gone to Standby, but I hadn't noticed any problems (but I was just listening to Music after briefly using Radio).
I'm attaching the new log.

And... it happened again. This time I resumed with Music active. Music worked fine, with no problem with the time remaining display. But when I switched to Radio, it would not play and all Radio UI was unresponsive.
