hmmm, yeah i can see in the log, we caught the invalid song, but the delay happens in the time it first accesses the file before we really know it's invalid, not like i was hoping. Will think more on this one...

I have just sent that file to you, hope it helps.
If it doesn't arrive you because of its size or so, tell me, so I can make it available for download to you.

md5sum of the file: 1846050b2838356343a255f7ce55cebd

This file plays well, when I play it on my PC aswell as on the ipod itselfs.
The only strange thing that I see is, that the filename got malformed, but that is done by itunes automatically; Original filename of that MP3 is: "Theatre of Tragedy - Angelique.mp3"

well file plays fine here from the harddrive, next step would be to find my sons ipod he lost, throw it on there, and test that way... or david may have time once the next release is out...

Yeah, I found that out too while testing the track in the initial thread that those files do play well within centrafuse from harddrive, but not from ipod... :-(

Although if I start the file directly from the "removeable harddrive" of the ipod (E:\) within windows, it plays well too...

So, I really hope you find the ipod, because next release should already be the final, if I got that right? No one else in the flux development team having an ipod...?

Although, I have no idea why, it strangely seems to work now...

What I've done:
First I reinstalled windows & CF completely; of course I have been curious about if this helped, but unfortunately... It didn't: The problem was still existent.

Next, I deleted all songs on my ipod and did a new sync with my PC - But this didn't help either.

A few days later, I've implemented an active USB-HUB. Although this wasn't planed as a solution for this problem, after that, it somehow seemed to solve the problem, although it should be completely unrelated to that, as I've ran the ipod directly on the USB connector of the mainbord before... :? (no the cable connection the active USB HUB goes to the same connector)

I've testing this now for quite a while and the problem seems to be solved... Although I would suggest, that scott tries the file I've sent him on an ipod and see if he can reproduce this issue. -If he can't you can close it.

does that mean you were throwing the ipod on an unpowered port? i can see that causing a small issue on some systems, since ipod is drawing max current on that unpowered hub tryng to charge itself. I never even thought of that... Anyway, there is honestly no time to try and reproduce issues only 1 user has, expecially when they found a solution, so if it happens again, please re-open this thread...

EDIT: Do you still have the issues decribed in your other ipod bug thread?
