What were you doing when you encountered the bug

when listening to music, sometimes the time of the track stays the same while the song is playing untill it's finished. after it's finished CF just freezes. I have this problem with various tracks. it's not an issue with the track, because when i restart CF it will play that same song flawlesly.
the problem also appears sometimes when i hit the "media library" button. then the button does not highlight, and CF just freezes (song currently playing plays till the end, and then nothing anymore).
when i hit crtl alt del after CF freezes, i can shut CF down, but then also my taskbar is gone, so i have to end "explorer" and then restart it.
other "solution" to get CF running again is to reset my car pc

CF regularly crashes on me too, and only when playing media. I don't have any .wma files, only mp3's and CF crashes randomly, not during any particular track or album.
I regularly get the MS "Centrafuse.exe has caused an error..." box popping up after about a half hour or so.
Funnily enough, even with error logging turned on, an error.log isn't created, I only have a centrafuse.log file.

Support is really lagging right now. I posted another serious issue that I and other users are having and have not heard anything from these guys. The issue on my end appeared after going to the latest version for download, which is the one you guys are using. I was not having the issues with RC7 though. I say uninstalled the latest download and install RC7, that is what I'm going to do.

it might be coincidence (or however you write that ), but i switched to another visualisation, and CF has not crashed since then. allthough i have not tested it for a long time, it might be worth giving it a shot (i only drive my car in the weekends, but have driven several trips without CF crashing).
the visualisation i was using before is the one with all the colourfull circles / wormholes (or however you want to call it), and now i'm using the one with the equalizer bars spinning around...

maybe a possibility for the other users that have this problem to try it, and maybe this gives the flux guys a clue where to search for...

are you using any visualizations? if so, try to leave it on the Album art section and do not use a visual and see if you can reproduce...

if always happens using a visual, please describe which one...

have driven my car a little bit more this weekend, and again CF has not crashed...
i'm still using the visualisation with the equalizer bars that go round and round...

can you now go back and use the Worm hole visualization, I assume you mean the first visual after the Album art?

try this visual again to see if it crashes again, if it does that visual seems to be causing a crash on your machine, which would also explain no error.log because those visual run outside of Centraufse and when they crash, they cause an un-catchable crash in Centrafuse...
