Hi all, First time using centrafuse and got to say, wow! so far so good and i cannot wait for the final release.
However, I have tested this program on my home PC, XPSP2 and again so far so good but there is a slight problem on the media side, while playing videos i have to double click on the screen for video navigation menues! and i gota say i have to double click it very fast, not even that, doesnt happen the first time, menues appear the second time i double click the screen, like i said, i have to double click it very fast. I am just imagining from my carPC, will i have to double touch the monitor in my car for these video menues to appear? I am worried as testing with the mouse i gota double click extrememly fast and in my car with my finger tips i dont think it will be comfortable to do that each time i want video menues to appear. Would be much easier if menues apperard by a single soft touch from a finger tip on the monitor just like RoadRunner! Another problem i saw on the media side was not all my videos being played but they play on VLC and external media player classic but not on centrafuse? what video formats does centrafuse allow? and is it possible to install own codecs and where in the centrafuse directory? This is my first post and i hope its not too strict. Just helping the community to make this player the only player for all carPC lovers!! Regards |

You can playback anything that will playback in WMP... If you install new codecs simply open the file config.xml in the settings folder and you can add video extensions at the top of this file...
As for the double click... I made it double click so it would be just like the DVD player, which has to be double click because of when you are inside the DVD menu single click on the screen controls the DVD menu's... I will look into possiblyi making it single click... david |

first of all david, thanks for your quick response, much appreciated.
erm, fair point on you making it double click just like the dvd players but then again its ok to double click with the mouse on your monitor or HDTV's at HOME but not good for carPC's in car as we will be using our fingertips not mouse! your making this program for cars who have delicate touchscreens and small screens and sure we dont want to be poking our fingertips twice ever so quick for them menues to appear every other minute because nowadays who watches full music videos, after a 2 mins they want to see different video, nowadays hardly anyone watches the full music videos, just thinking it will be a pain to poke twice ever so quick every other minute! This is quite important and in the near future could bring centrafuse down! right now not a lot of people are paying attention to it, they love the style, the buttons, everything is perfect but poking and poking and poking could bring super centrafuse below other competitors! I dont know what you think? Asim |

I will look into it, but I have no problems with it on my car nor has this been an issue brought up by our distributors or beta testers....
I can probably make it work single click and detect when in DVD menu and make that double click... I threw it on my list to look into... david |
