What was the answer to the "why no GPU rendering" question?
I looked but couldnt find an answer from the Centrafuse team on this. The animations and visualizations at 1024x768 are pretty choppy even on a dual core Atom 330 Zotac ION board.
I dropped the res down to 800x600 and everything is a bit more peechy but it makes baby jesus cry that my GPU cant cruch away on some sweet ass visuals. Sweet ass visuals and animations = impressive.

I don't know the answer but would like to know as I have an ION board also, and the reasons I got it were for the GPU support for animations (so I thought) and for CUDA support for DVD and HD playback (this works great)

GPU support for visuals was never talked about, we use BASS add-on library for visuals...
and you are correct, the larger the res, the choppier they will be, characteristic of the sonique visuals cf runs...

So, what about GPU animations?

cf 3 totally unusable
I have just installed cf 3 auto on a asrock ion/atom motherboard (one of the most potent systems) and the gui is so choppy, it is unusable. It seems to be redrawing the screen 3-4 times every time there is a change. I am seriously thinking to abandon cf and just use win 7 gui. On top of this unbearable problem, cf does not support my avermedia fm radio, it does not support pc navigator, it does not simply import contacts from my phone, it cannot simply import playlists without using a weird non satisfactory plugin and generally it is miles behind the standard windows gui and media center.

go to System/Settings, then select Graphics and change the effects profile to LOW, that should speed things up for you on the graphics...
we have had little to possibly no request for avermedia FM radio support, we generally support radios that are requested... If it has an API, a radio module could easily be written for it...
pc navigator can most likely be embedded as an external application...
