Request: Save Playing Sirius (or XM) song to a text file
I'd like to see the option of saving the currently playing Sirius song to a text file that keeps getting appended every time a new song is added. The text file can be on the root of the C:\ or in the centrafuse folder and would let you save songs that you like to a list that can later be used to purchase from iTunes or what-not.
There's not really a spot on the satellite radio screen for a new button so perhaps clicking the track info up top or holding down the favorites button or something? |

could be done, but not allowed in our current agreement with XM or Sirius...
you can thank the RIAA we cannot associate any music with song information, but with a plugin you could pull this data from the main title and when a button was clicked or do something creative.... david |

Hmm.. Interesting. They seem to allow it for hd radio as I hear "iTunes tagging" being pushed on commercials. I wonder if they're just putting the screws to satellite.
So, if a plugin were to pop up allowing something like this it wouldn't necessarily be frowned upon?

just saying it would be possible... also things might change, XM/Sirius merging, hearing some good things with some options we might have to legally improve functionality.... we don't plan to get suid like TimeTrax, no thank you... david |
