Skin Test Program - CF But With Out The Working Bits ?
David,
I'm currently working on a new skin and although I havnt bought it yet I know I'll run in the the same problem.... that is I develope on another machine to my CarPC.
What would be the chance of releasing a verison of CF with no activation BUT no actual working features ( no music playing / dvd playing / gps )..... this way ( with a bit of fake data ) my self and others could export skins and play to our harts content to see if the skin looks / works right before using it in the car.
I ask because even when I get to the point of buying CF2 thats one machine only and while deactivating and reactivating may be one way around it I'd prefer to have a none working test enviroment to use that was seprate....
What do you think ???
Terran
BTW - I'm using VD2 which sort of shows you previews but its not the same as trying it.... especially when sorting colour schemes.

This is already built into Centrafuse. You can use te primary and secondary activations for this. Primary on your car pc, secondary on your desktop for development.

I understand your concerns, however, if we were to provide every user with a free license for a number of machines we would be shooting ourselves in the foot unfortunately.
It truly is a catch 22 situation. To protect the intellectual property rights of the developers and ensure that we can keep the doors open, or provide a number of free licenses to ever paid user. The development team believes that they have found the best median by providing the secondary license for development reasons with your purchase of Centrafuse.

Ok, I understand the doubts. And I accept that naturally. I use also the secondary version of CF. there must my wife evenly further the Skins at my PC test. That is not a problem.
Thanks for RC4, good work Flux Team!
(Sorry for my bad English)

You can it do by Choice of "Primär" and "Sekundär" in the Licensing-Setup.

Two licences is more than enough for any one person to use.....

Just getting back to this.... I know I have the option of a second license etc but even then I'm having problems testing say the radio, XM, Phone & GPS screens as the appropriate hardware is not there and it wont let me in....
If your not going to have a skin test proggy what about the option of say cf.exe /skin where by the hardware is either simulated or ignored to get round this problem ?
I'm sure you can find a way to disable the features for real to prevent wrongfull use... eg a licence for SE can only really use those functions but may be able to VEIW for skining reasons the other screens like phone / GPS.
