RDS PS in default

Dear Admin's

Can I please in the name of many users to solve RDS problem.
"I" button activation in fact enable rds text recive - nice function, if you need it.
But in many countries Radio station name is transmited otside RDS text as PS signal. Can you please add this reature as defoult function. In the end of the day users will get station name and in addition after "I" button activation rds text if necesseary. I check how rds works in RR - recive both signals alternately. Automaticly once is shown PS for few seconds, once rds text for few seconds. Additionaly all the time freqency is visible separatly.

Will be very nice to have somting like that.

My tuner is sillabs - I make tests on it.

I open discussion under Rds

Thanks for posting this as a suggestion. This may be different in United States (how RDS owrks here) as opposed to how it works in Europe. It also might be that the functionality you are used to is "pre-parsed" by the head unit stock radios that support RDS.

Here in the US, i've not seen this before. Has anyone else? Even on stock car radios?

I don't realy know. In fact I Buy my usb reciver from US - included software recive RDS + RDS Text same with RR. and USB FM Test softwareonly CF got this problem. May be easyest way is to preapare kind of Plugin that will show RDS properly. If we can help in this process no problem with pleasure we will make some beta tests. I can provide tests in Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, and Czech Republic. may be also in France and GB

This is a suggestion for Centrafuse, not for the forums themselves, moving to the Centrafuse suggestions and out of the Forum suggestions.

Hi,

I agree: The PS info should always be displayed when available.

And what about this:
  • Add an TMC button (to display traffic info when available)
  • When you click on the text, it will change to another mod (Play list info -- PS info -- RDS text -- TMC info), even when you are in music or video mode.
  • When you double click the text, the full text is displayed in full screen mode. This can be a pop up or a screen (called INFO e.g.) that is also selectable from the main menu. This is very handy when you always just missed the text you need to know and have to wait forever for it to scroll by again.
