Igo8 for nav
HI DAVID do you think it is possible to use IGO 8 as the NAVIGATION ENGINE instead of destinator in CF3 ?

Please don't choose IGO for 3.0!!
Looks nice, but the behaviors (especially zooming automatically) are retarded...
I say iGuidance 2009!

IGuidance is nice, but sucks they have no SDK to hook events, so you can pause music when directions are given.

CF3 will use the same engine... at least initially, so don't get your hopes up on that. We will be improving the user interface significantly however. (ie, how an address is entered and routes and turns are displayed)

Why not a Sygic or something better, than Destinator, which is very poor and not works good with POI's & favorits & speedcameras?
Sygic for example is much better adjusts into everything. Also you should to distribute maps as on demand as already included into NAV version...

Hi guys,
As Reagan say Destinator will stay in CF on release CF3.0 Because I think they don't have enought time to make new navigation engine and must first fix bugs in main application...
CF3 will have Destinator as Plugin so everyone can easyer as in CF2 make new navigation plugin with all features as destinator have it...
Im looking for some SDK from good navigation but I can't find it... I think Garmin is best for now(But they have SDK only for WM and not for PC). Igo have worst map coverage...

On the one hand i can understand the decision, however as a customer i can say i will not be upgrading if this is the case. The current navigation engine is horrible. On the few occassions that i have attemped to use it the routing has been so poor that i have had to switch to either the GPS in my cell phone or my Garmin dash board unit.
The last time i attempted to use it what should have been ~ a 45 minute trip was routed in such a way where it was going to be close to an hour and a half. I then fired up garmin on my cell phone and was there in about 50 minutes.
I am quite dissapointed with this decision as this is the one area that Centrafuse really drops the ball on.

It's all about perspective. You see it as them dropping them ball. But I do not agree that is the case.
They have tried to partner with other GPS software companies, but none are willing to provide a solution given their user numbers. That's not CF dropping the ball.
I agree it's disappointment. But lets not point fingers that they are not doing their jobs. They tried. We all would have come to the same conclusion if in their position.
