Hello David
I have read several threads and it seems to me that CF do not support any digital tv-tuners at this moment. In Denmark we have 3 channels broadcasts as digital signal. I have tested it a little and it is a quite god signal while driving around. I have also tested the digital signal in Germany and here it was also a very god signal in my car. Also when driving at highway... So i am very interested in get it plugged in to CF. As I understod CF only support the wdm drivers and with my little research at Hauppauge it is only the old-ones tuners (analog) that supports the wdm-drivers. (Correct me if I am wrong) Can I do anything getting a digital-tuner working with the CF? Is it possible to get it working with the SDK-Kit? or is the interface so deeb in the CF-kernel that it is unreachable by any other people than flux-media personel? Best regards |

i am not sure where you are at with the development, but i thought this info might help
most, if not all, digital tuners support BDA drivers in windows. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/archive/broadcast.mspx check out mediaportal or gbpvr, couple of media centre apps, and it may give you some ideas of how to best implement TV support. it would also be great if you integrated the EPG/XMLTV functionality at the same time. hell, why not include the pvr function too! ok now i'm getting carried away but you get the picture |
