UbserSteve reckoned it worked to fix his resume issues but didn't try it in the actual car, running from the car power. May inadvertently fix the clunk issue too. Furthermore, David has suggested to edit the System\config.xml for RESETAUDIO, which will reset all the audio upon reset. Problem is it may not work for resume?! |

I am using the Audigy SE 7.1, and rear/sub in CF mixer does not work! This card is a low profile PCI card.
I am currently using the CF trial though, until i get everything working, but that shouldnt matter. KX Drivers do not support this card so i cannot test to see if different drivers resolve the issue. I didnt check if there was 4.1, but what good is 4.1 if the sub control doesnt work? Aside from the no rear/sub control the card works well. I do have some volume issues. Its either all volumes are too quiet (doesnt go loud enough for highway rocking out) or all too loud (can't get quiet enough to have a nice conversation with passengers). Logarithmic volume resolves this but then i get no sound at all at any point under half volume. If the pre voume level is too low there is a hiss, but at about halfway there is not. Anyway not recomended, im watching this thread in hopes of a clear replacement. Last edited by kmcbride; May 7th, 2008 at 12:07 PM. |

Probably best to wait for the next version of the trial release. The current CF2.0 RC1 has some mixer issues which they are working on. With the next release candidate/trial version things should work alot better. |

Can you have multiple DAC's connected to a USB Hub?
If you had two connected, could you control their volumes seperatly using the Windows Volume control which would also show in CF?... and then still have the WAV and MAIN volume sliders available? This would then allow to route one DAC for the front speakers, another DAC for the rear speakers and perhaps one more the a sub if required and allow you to control all their volumes independantly. Ok... I have been looking about MP3car and a few other threads here and it looks like you can have multiple soundcards connected and use a piece of software called Virtual Audio Cable.
However, I am unable to decipher how you control the input/output of each soundcard. Do you have to do this through the Virtual Audio Cable software or can you select which outputs are made available in the Windows Volume control to make available in CF Mixer? |
