XM is for North America, Sirius is for the United States (not sure about Canada for Sirius)

Sirius and XM work in Canada. But it is difficult finding power for it on our dog sleds.

http://www.xmradio.com

http://www.sirius.com

Those are the only 2 satellite radio companies (soon to become one). To the best of my knowledge, there are no other satellite radio companies.

I have heard that you can get Sirius in the UK and places in Europe. XM's signal is to weak to make it over there. Only issue you will have is getting a Sirius account with no US or Canadian address.
