Support for Mitch's Line Selector Device?

I recently bought a device made by Mitch that allows you to connect up to 4 devices (in my case HD Radio and XM) to it and then connect to the line in port of your soundcard. You then plug it into USB and basically the way it works with RR is that when you go to HD radio, it will tell the line selector to switch to what ever jack the HD radio is plugged into. Same thing for XM. Is there anyway you guys can add support for this into CF? If you need it a can upload the software Mitch gave me to use it standalone.... The easiest would most likely be to contact him.... Im sure you guys keep in touch since its his HD radio cable you have for HD.

Oh yes!!!! CF support for this, PLEASE!!!

This would solve so many problems I've got!

I'm running multiple sound cards because I need more than one line-in (HDRadio and Sirius)...and it's not working that great in CF.

This is a perfect solution!

Hi Jack,

Do you have a link for this device? I can't find it on Mitch's page.

Hi Jack,

He is actually still designing it. He was nice enough to sell it to me unfinished. The circuit is done but all the casing for it is still in production. I tend to not have patience so I begged him for one. I think he said he had about another week before it was done. It would be nice that CF already has support built into it though.

I hear you on the problems. I tried changing sound cards, building my own switcher, and in the end Mitch's line selector was a savier.

Im guessing this device was mainly made for RR users. A plugin exists for them to use this device. The Line Selector came with a software where you push the line you want to hear and it switches. Someone from MP3Car (Sonicxtacy02), made a script with AutoIt to tell the program what line to select. Can i edit something in CF itself so that when I push the HD button it activates that autoscript and changes the input to HD radio, same with XM?

new 2.0 SDK will be ready in a few days, and a plugin and support can probably added for this fairly easy...

need to get 2.0 released, then we can look into new features...

Thanx David. As mentioned to Scott, Mitch made a software that works by using a command line. By doing this it eliminates the need for AutoIt.... I am a newbie at this stuff so its alien to me.

He sent me that program, then wrote this to me in the email:

Usage:

Uascontrol x

Where x = 1 to 4

MItch

Where does the Uascontrol command go in CF?

Im not sure though. Flux seems to be really busy. They dont seem to be answering alot of questions like before the release of 2.0 gold. I guess maybe i'll try messaging them and see if they answer back. As of right now, I have to keep going to the GUI to hit sat radio inorder to switch to sat after coming out of hibernation.

As soon as I seem some confirmation that this device can work with CF (and as soon as Mitch starts selling them) I'll be buying!

I saw a demo one of these devices this weekend....was SOOOOOOO jealous. For some reason, the owner of it refused to tell me where he parks his car at night.

I've got Mitch's HDRadio cable and his Sirius interface module. Awesome design and function! I'm sure this device will be just as snazzy as all of the others!
