How would this be done if you are using cf as system shell?

I think it will remember what you configured when you turned on CF. So basically, load up CF with the -nowarning -nolimit options then go to Settings and set CF as shell mode. Save all your changes and restart the computer, it should load up without the messages.

OR

You can edit the registry entry manually
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

Add the -nowarning -nolimit at the end of "Shell" value so it reads something like
"C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\centrafuse.exe" -nowarning -nolimit

NOTE: As David posted above, this maybe (and most likely is) illegal to do in many states. So be warned!!! And I take no responsibility

Just to be clear I did search on other threads before coming here. I couldn't find what I was looking for in a reasonable amount of time so thats why i posted in this thread. So, no need to point out the obvious. And If i remember correctly I edited my own post and said i found the solution myself. For some reason it was either deleted or it never made it up.

in the latest release if you set the CF Shell while the flags are set during your first run, it will add them to the registry...

This might be a stupid question but....

do these flags actualy prevent both the messages and the limitations (no address change or video) or just the messages.

You see, to me, i have no problem with an address limitation nor a video limitation while driving..... however it is just the messages that cause me a problem.

Surly it would be possible, and legal to display the messages once when CF is first used and not come up every damn time.

or am i being dense....

PS: ive been away a long time - 3 weeks and i am free to start programming CF plugins again

the -nowarning is the flag for the warning messages...

this has also been updated in the next release to 1 dialog that is larger and displays all the text with an agree button...

Is it possible to set these flags while using Centrafuse as the Shell. I dug up the Shell regkey that is set but adding the flags just gets them removed again.

Hi Nerve,

Run CF with those two arguments BEFORE you put it in Shell mode. Basically make a shortcut on the desktop or something with -nowarning -nolimit added to the shortcut. And then go to settings and set CF to shell mode. It will set those arguments in the registry.
