How can I play AAC files within Centrafuse?
Official Centrafuse FAQ here
By default Centrafuse cannot play iTunes files, and it cannot play protected (DRM) iTunes files at all. The iPod plug-in will read the iPod and play files if you use the MP3 format. It will also support the AAC format if you add a file named ‘bass_aac.dll’ from this web site: http://www.un4seen.com/bass.html
Unfortunately, we cannot currently include this file with the installer due to licensing constraints.
Once you have this file, place it in your /Centrafuse folder to enable AAC playback. This file enables playback of AAC (M4A only) files. ACC format will allow you to play music that was ripped from your CD library inside iTunes, as well as music from the iTunes Plus store, and any other AAC files. It will not playback protected files (M4P) from the iTunes store, but you may be able to burn these to a CD and then re-rip them.
Please note, if you get an error that states that Centrafuse is expecting Bass 2.2 or 2.3, then chances are that you have downloaded a codec pack from off of the internet. You should delete ANY codec packs like this as they are causing some problems.

Dead handy....any idea how CF handles video podcasts ? I ask because I may want to 'listen' to them while driving so I'm rather hoping CF is clever enough to disable the video while moving ?

Centraufse can play any video format, if it plays in WMP it will play in Centrafuse, you just have to add the extension just like the post in FAQ on adding config.xml VIDEOEXT… http://forums.fluxmedia.net/faq.php?...#faq_realmedia
As for audio, can’t add audio extensions, if Bass supports it then Centrafuse can support it, what format is a PodCast? If it’s just another format with a different extension that could be fixed…

Unfortunately, I cannot post that for various reasons. However, it's on the page I linked to, you just have to scroll down a bit.

I downloaded the trial version of centrafuse and put the bass_aac.dll file in the appropriate place and it wont play any of my m4a files. I attempted to reinstall to no avail. Does the current version not work with it?

It should work w/ M4A, just not M4P, which are DRM protected. The bass_aac.dll goes in /Program Files/Flux Media/Centrafuse/

Yeah, I dont get it either. The bass_aac.dll is in that folder. I dont get any errors or pop ups when I try to play a m4a file it will just skip through all the m4a files until it gets to an mp3 or wav that I have.

That is odd. I just tried some m4a files, and CF played them just fine.
If you do a 'Get Info' on the file in iTunes, what does it tell you about the format of the file?

Just an idea.. Do you have those M4A on a separate external hard drive that might be getting underpowered or something?
