“Audio Enhancements” in Windows Vista have been reported as causing issues
Official FAQ
“Audio Enhancements” in Windows Vista have been reported as causing issues with the internal audio engine that Centrafuse uses. Some common side effects of this are reduced volume levels when Centrafuse loads (this has been experienced internally) and audio skipping. Other issues could arise from this, but are unknown to us at this time. If you experience any Audio issues with Vista, especially if you use a Sigmatel Audio chip, please disable these “Audio Enhancements”. They are located in the Properties section of the playback device in the Windows Mixer. ![]() ![]()
