| How can I obtain a development/test license? |
Traditionally (w/ 1.20) we have simply allowed folks to register and
activate on two machines. One for in-the-house testing/development of
modules/plugins and one for CarPC. This hasn’t been much of a
problem. Sometimes people have to request an additional
activation if/when the hardware changes considerably.
But now with the 2.0 version, we have a new licensing system that
has a mechanism that allows official “Primary” and “Secondary” hardware
profiles (hardware ‘Profiles’ are what requires a re-activation. Not always, it depends on the extent of the change).
This way, when you register it asks you if you are using the Primary OR Secondary hardware profile, so you can have two without
ever having to contact us.
Note: This only applies to registering Centrafuse, not the Bluetooth module as this uses a separate license key not controlled by us. This is described here http://forums.fluxmedia.net/faq.php?faq=phone#faq_second_bluetoth_license

| How to add/embed external applications in Centrafuse |
For customizing buttons:
You may hold down any button for a few seconds, until the Select Action
list appears. This feature allows you to re-assign an action of a
button or to remove an action by selecting Action of “None”.
Adding new actions. You can add additional actions of the type
Application, Plug-in or Web Link.
To add new “Actions” for button assignments, follow these directions to
add/embed an external application:
- Enter Settings
- Click the plus ( + ) button, a dialog will appear.
- Choose Application
- Enter the name of the Application (This is what will show
up on the button layout (don’t make it too long))
- After entering the name, complete the settings for External
Application on the setup screen.
- Choose the application location (where the .exe resides on
the hard drive)
- (Optional) add any parameters to the app if
necessary/applicable.
- (Required) Enter the window name. This step is critical, be
sure to type a sub-segment of text from the window title you see at the top of the program. (eg. Notepad's default window title is "Untitled - Notepad", so in this case just type Notepad.) Just remember, less you type is better here.
