I installed tiny XP revision 9 and I'm down to 30seconds return from hypernation now. (from key turn)

Tomorrow I'll install 1GB of RAM and a 7200RPM SATAII hard drive. I'll let you know how much I could squeeze out

Well, I upgraded the HardDrive to SATAII with 7200 RPM (Western Digital Scorpio WD3200BJKT - with freefall sensor) and did a check in HD-Tach. It is only very little faster. around 60MBps average read speed, whereas the burstspeeds are much higher...

Anyways. This changed NOTHING at bootuptime.
I also downgraded RAM to 1GB which only gained about 1second.

Bottom line:
TinyXP has gained me 5 seconds return from hibernation time.
1GB or 2GB Ram didn't change a lot. about 1 second.
SATAII instead of SATAI, and 7200RPM instead of 5400RPM didn't change anything at all.

So, if you tweak, tweak in BIOS, Tweak windows.

-Bare-Bones System Service Setup
-Recommended Service Setup
-Optimizing the Location of the Boot Files
