Question about 4.1 sound.

I have a question about/how to connect my sound card. I am using a laptop for centrafuse that is build in to the bag of my car. All works fine exept the sound as sound card i am using a Trust usb Soundcard whit 5.1 support. I

I want to control my front/rear/sub seperated but that doesn't work. The mixer reconizes only the front ?

How can i fix this. ?

Does anyone have picture for me how you connected your sound card to the amp ? maybe i did something wrong..

Does the slider for rear/sub work or does it go right back to the bottom when you move it?

You usually set it to a smart 5.1 or tell it to send the same signal as the fronts to the rear...

Then you run the front output to an amp that is connected to your front speakers and the rear output to an amp that runs the rear speakers...

Then you will have independent control...

the slider for sub/rear goes right back to the bottum if i move them. Where do i have to set in to smart 5.1, in windows volume or in the soundcard application ?

i have a 6ch amp Front is going to the fornt speakers of the amp rear tot the rear speakers and sub to the sub.

You would setup smart 5.1 in the sound card settings and sometimes you can do it from advanced options in the windows mixer...

If the sliders are going right back to the bottom then it is not finding the rear/sub channels and can't control them...

where are the rear/sub sliders in the windows mixer? Are they in their own section, playback section, recording section... What are the headers above the sliders in the windows mixer?

Hey,

The winwos mixer does not have those sliders at all. just volume, cd player, mic and aux.
but when i start the mixer from the sound card i see front, rear, sub slide bars.

I have the same issue.

Witch SB software mixer I can manage rear/sub but with windows mixer I can't.
CF uses windows mixer, and I think can not manage the SB mixer.

There is a sort-of work-around solution.....

I added a new shortcut in CF for the SB mixer application and I adjust it from there. CF only controls the MS mixer.

I did not spend too much time at it as my SB didn't send any signal to the sub, all other speakers came in load & clear and fully adjustable. Its probably a bug/setting somewhere and its on my long 'to do' list.

The problem is Centrafuse controls the sound card through the windows mixer...

Might see if you can find different drivers that add these channels to the windows mixer...
