CF 1.30 and Infill G4 Radio

Will the infill G4 radio be supported with the CF 1.30?

a seperate Infill add-on will be posted on the downloads page... It will included the radio unit as well as additional plugin for controlling other parts of the Infill...

We hope to have it ready and on the downloads page within 2 weeks...

HW Drivers

I'm just using the one's I got when I got the G4 system + CD's.

I don't have any problems with the current drivers, so I do not know if there are newer drivefrs then the one's I allready have.

Already finished... Check the Beta 1.30 thread in Release Information, there is a download for both 1.30 and the full Infill support with radio, tilting, and brightness...

Exclamation CF 1.30 - InfillG4 - Performance Issues

************** RESOLUTION *************
Download the newly released Realtek High Definition
Audio driver , installed and rebooted. Damn dodgy Drivers!!
*************************************

Hi All,

I recently purchased the InfillG4 and loaded CF 1.20.

When i heard about 1.30 supporting Radio and Tilt / Brightness functions i upgraded to the new version. The upgrade was very easy.

Problems i have been experiencing is very high CPU usage.

At the moment for example i have centrafuse open and listening to radio. My cpu is sitting at 95%+ , i am running Sysinternals Process Viewer and i can see the System Process (not System Idle) is using 50%+ and DPCs (Defered Procedure Calls) is around 40%. The are a few small utils (ie: Wireless Driver) using a few % also.

Basically, problem is when using GPS and listening to radio things go downhill very quickly.. the CPU will stay at 100% and voice instructions from GPS are like T-t-t-t-ttuuuurn Lllllllllllllleeeeeeeeffffffffftttttttttt.

I have noticed if i dont listen to Media or Radio and have centrafuse idle the CPU is less than 50%.

I have completed all Windows Updates and updated every driver i can find.

I have a USB hub attached to the InfillG4 which connects a Logitch Cam , Belkin USB Wireless , Engine Management System and Bluetooth USB.

I have disconnected each of these individually and the hub itself and while there is a minor improvement (maybe 5%) i am satisfied its not the USB equipment.

If i close Centrafuse and play an MP3 in windows media player i have the same issue, CPU jumps to close to 100%.

My guess is its a Audio Driver / Codec issue, however after countless hours no luck sorting it out.

I have also reloaded Windows XP Home and Centrafuse several times but i get the same results.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks

very strange, centrafuse should idle between 0% and maybe 5% CPU, playing music should not increase much at all... WMA can add some CPU increase, but mp3 should add none...

I have the same setup

I also have a G4 and I use the CF1.2 + the radio and tilt plugins that were posted here.

I dont want to upgrade yet to v1.3 until the beta phase is over.

The systems runs 100% O.K. I do not hav any of the problems you have.

You say you have noticed if you dont listen to Media or Radio and have centrafuse idle the CPU is less than 50%.

1. Do you see what process is taking the CPU? (in taskmgr)
2. It does not seem to be a driver issue. More likly a spyware/virus in your system. Try running ant-virus and anti-spyware software
