I don't have to yell by any means, normal voice is all that is needed (with mic boost on). I recommend a better mic, because the voice quality isn't the best. I haven't listened to it myself, but that's what my wife said. We were still able to continue you normal conversation though.

I would recommend a andrea array mic. I have one, but haven't tried it yet. I have read its much better quality however.

The thing ist, that the cheaper andrea mics seem to have problems too... So my last attempt is to try it with a "normal" microphone and if that doesn't work satisfactory, I will do something really crazy and get the DA-350 (andrea's flagship mic.)
