A few questions I have recieved through pm from another user:
1) One of the concerns I have is how well will it work with the output line being fed through a car headunit and amplifier (my car PC is fed into an AUX in).
2) Will the headunit/amp modify/delay the output signal sufficiently before it goes into the mic for it not to be recognised as an echo by the card.
3) I'm also interested to ensure that the quality of the general audio (MP3 playing for instance) is not degraded by the card.
--
1) This will not be a problem.
2) The delay is 10 milliseconds, not something you would notice.
3) I have not noticed any quality difference. Even with the sound going through the card and not powered it can still be heard, so I would assume its a straight pass through.

There could be a point in your explanation.
It sounds credibal.
But to just try and buy, i don't know yet.
I saw that the card retails for about 90 dollars.
I'll have to think about it..

If it helps I can test it with my setup. while in the house my home PC has 7.1 and a 5.1 setup connected to it. I can test and let you know what happens.

Salmizar, as soon as you get it in the car and fully tested in there, let us know. I'm going to hold off on buying it until it gets your passing grade in a car environment.
Thanks.

Will do. It has noise supression, so it should also minimize road noise as well. I listen to Sirius whenever in the vehicle, so until the line in issue with the phone is fixed I will not pair my phone. I will keep you posted.

Using my onboard sound card, and a logitec x 540 I get the same echo cancellation effect. I am not running any effects though, just the matrix option on the logitech (simulates surround sound on stereo signals). I hope this answers your question.

Here is the final product.
RC4 is expected soon, and looks like it will be the registered (bluetooth) version. So I would assume the line input issue will be fixed. At which time I will test it in vehicle with road noise etc.

Very nice clean OEM look. They should offer an external model like this. And for the price, it should be included!
