No Sound from HD Radio
I am having trouble getting sound from my Directed DMHD1000 HD radio. I have it connected to com 1 with Mitch's cable, and the rca output connected to the line in of my audigy soundblaster card. I have sound and full control when using the HDRadioPCR software provided by Mitch. But when I open the radio on Centrafuse I have control with RDS info but no sound. I have been able to hear very faint radio music with the default volume of 35 in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse\RadioModules\HDRado\HDRadio.xml. I have increased that value to 100 so that the radio would be audible to humans. But after I do that I now have no sound but static over the speakers when I turn the volume in centrafuse all the way up. I have tried using and not using the buffer mode and restarting centrafuse and even my computer, but no change. I have also messed around with changing the record device and playback device. From what I can gather from the FAQ about these devices is that with buffer on I should set the record device to none, and the playback device to my line in. I have also tried turning off the buffer and setting the record device to line in, and the playback device to none.
Am I missing something simple here? Any help would be appreciated Also here is a system report to aid anyone in helping me. Last edited by Pelak036; July 30th, 2008 at 02:42 AM. |

Set both Playback and Recording device to Line-In, and then go to the Mixer, click Levels, and increase the Line-In volume, then click Levels again and choose your recording section of your sound device, and increase the line-in there as well...

No sound with buffer on
I am now able to get sound with buffer off. But when I turn buffer on and change the record device to analog mix(which contains the line in) I get no sound. I can then manually unmute the the line in and then I get normal sound while the buffer is paused and I get double audio when the buffer is playing. Is there any way to overcome this problem?
I have to choose analog mix(tad in, line in, cd digital) Could this be an issue with my sound card? If you think it is, is it possible to enable my onboard soundcard to use for just the hd radio? Last edited by Pelak036; July 30th, 2008 at 05:23 PM. |

sounds likes your sound card... you should be able to enable onboard just for HD Radio...
basically with Buffer on, this is what is happening... you set Playback to Line-In so it will MUTE the audio from line-in, you set Recording to line-in so it will record from line-in, then Centrafuse plays the audio back and you don't hear double... with non-buffer mode you can just set the Playback device to Line-in and Centrafuse will un-mute the line-in so you can hear the passthrough system audio... david |

Can now get sound from HD radio, but...
I can get sound by not using the buffer, but I ran into a problem that may be a bug. I have my power supply m2atx set to send a signal to the power button of my computer, and I have the power button set on my computer to ask me whether to shutdown, restart, or sleep. It is very handy for short trips. I then have the power supply set to hard off in two hours to prevent draining my battery. But when I am playing the radio and turn off my car, and then turn my car back on and resume centrafuse I no longer get any sound or control from the radio. The problem is then fixed by restarting centrafuse. I am running RC7 and will post a system report tomorrow evening after I get out of work.

HD Radio not responding after resuming centrafuse
I have my HD radio wired to turn on with the ignition, so every time my computer goes into standby the radio is powered off and does not resume after the ignition is on.

did you standby/resume before you created this system report? I do not see it in the log... if not, please do so and reproduce error. If you did standby/resume, then your windows is not sending centrafuse the standby and resume events, and if this is the case, there's really no CF bug and i'm suprised Centrafuse even works at all when coming back from standby...
