Australian Maps update?
Any news from destinator on Australian maps?
We're now a couple of years out of date now, and am finding in Brisbane anyhow quite a few errors in the map data, either due to changes as a result of construction (lots of that), or other cases which just seem to be bugs in these versions of the maps. There must be a better version out there by now. |

David,
Any news? I'm really starting to struggle with the justification of the spend on the carpc with the "financial controller" when her $300 tomtom craps all over the $1000+ nav we have at the moment. I realise that it does far more than a tomtom, and to the most part does it well, but the quality of the map data (2 years out of date) is really a major bugbear against CF as a solution in Australia. |

sensis whereis v15.1 maps
I was thinking of buying multiple licenses for CF 2.0 Australian edition with nav for the car fleet of the services company I consult with, but I've used Sensis v14 (2007) maps and they are very buggy, on several of the PND devices I have tested.
Sensis have just released their v15.1 maps. Big improvements in rural and regional roads, which were one of the main weaknesess of the v14 maps. Speed limits are finally more accurate as well. I would buy and recommend Centrafuse to anyone here in Australia provided it could be used with the sensis v15.1 maps. Is this going to happen within the next two week timeframe or should I look elsewhere? |

If Destinator provides us the Sensis maps, then that's what we can provide. We are at the mercy of Destinator as far as WHICH maps they choose to use.
If you have a program that you know uses those maps, you can always embed it into Centrafuse and just purchase the Standard version.
