Are iPod playlists supported?

Hi,

Currently I have all of my music on my hard drive in the CarPC. I manage all of my music in iTunes on my home computer and as I get new mp3's, I transfer them to the hard drive via USB stick. However, I can't keep up with making playlists in the car. I have a ton of iTunes playlists and there's currently no easy way to remake those in CF.

So - I was thinking of just using an iPod and keeping my music on there, that way I can just play the music and playlists off the iPod in CF. I just tried it out with a nano and couldn't find the iPod playlists anywhere in CF. I can play the music fine.

Is there a way to play a playlist off of a connected iPod in CF?

Have you tried what i do i make up playlist at home on my pc using wmp then call em stuff like Classic,Bass,Disco then copy them to a usb stick then pop it into the car pc and let cf do the rest its does it so much better. I do use a ipod but i prefer keeping my music on a big hd at home in wmp as the cover art is better supported. I find it easier to reload when i upgrade pc componants

As far as I know ipod playlists are not supported. Currently CF can only handle the MP3 files on the shared disk of ipod.

Is it something that may be on the horizon or is not possible. This would make life a breeze for me but if it's not going to happen then I'll try some other methods.

I wouldn't expect a solution in the next 12 months.

we are working on a lot of things, but we do plan to look into the iPhone support and get it worked out, we can look into this at the same time...

add this to suggestions...
