Hmmm still have cf problems .....

Ok guys i have a fresh copy of xp sp 3 installed , i install cf , but , no vlume control it stays at min , the volume buttons dont work , although i can go into the windows sound device and adjust the volume from there ,

then after a close cf down after install , i click to load it up again , and it goes through the loading screen audio ins , etc etc then after i press agree , the programe goes to the top 1/4 of the touch screen with the phone icon top left of the 1/4 screen there is not buttons to push etc etc , just a blank black box , with the phone icon , and the task bar has gone from windows , so i have to reboot.

I really am getting annoyed at this now , i cant use the program i have paid for ... , i never had problems before.....is there a problem with the latest build?

can you post your error.log file? Its in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse\ folder

Did you happen to install .NET 2.0? Also make sure you are not loading any 3rd party plugins.

You might want to try reinstalling CF also.

sorry for the issues, these are not normal... make sure to start Centrafuse and add -logevents to your shortcut to enable logging, this is also described in the FAQ for how to enable logging...

then get us all the report files, the error.log and centrafuse.log file so we can see what is going on...

as stated, make sure to remove any 3rd party plugins that might be causing the issues... and make sure you are testing with a Centrafuse official skin, Onyx or Aura, no 3rd party skin...

screen seems to be working just now , ie no small box with phone icon , but still no volume control .... thanks

Can you put your error.log file? Are you hearing any sound at all? even from Windows? Make sure you are not using the Volume plugin installed. (Check for "Volume" folder in C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\Plugins if its there, delete it)

Do you have a USB sound card? Make sure its loaded and working before you start CF. Also go to the Audio settings and make sure you have the sound card selected for the audio device.

Hi , i have full control of windows sound , i have a usb sound card ie ext , usb dac it is always on , i get sound through cf but just dont have any control of it

Sounds like a simple matter of choosing the default sound device...
The default device in Windows should be selected as the default play-back device in CF.
Or am I over simplifying things...?
