Bluesoleil Won't Install!!

I'm trying to get my pc up and running with centrafuse and a bluetooth adapter. I've tried installing the Bluesoleil stack within CF's installer multiple times. The stack does not show up anywhere on my pc!

I did test CF on my home PC and Bluesoleil installed just fine with that setup. Can I only use one computer at a time with the program?

Please point me in the right direction!!
Thanks!

During the initial phase of the CF install, when the pre-requisites are being installed (Managed DirectX, etc), it will prompt you to install Optional Bluetooth. Make sure and watch for this and answer yes. If you have CF already setup, you can simply re-run the Trial installer, let BlueSoleil install, and then cancel the CF installer when it starts.

Thanks for the reply!!

I did however try this method with my actual CF2 software. I certainly hit yes when prompted to install directx and optional bluetooth. Both of these would install and then I would be prompted to reboot. After the reboot, I tried cancelling the installation process. Doing so did not result in Bluesoleil being installed on my computer. I've also uninstalled CF completely and went through the whole process over with no avail.

Do you think using the CF trial installer would help?

Thanks a million!!

you can try the trial installer, i think maybe the bluetooth install may be failing silently though on your install. Is there another pc you can test on to verify?

I certainly think the install is silently failing. I don't quite understand why though! I did install this version of CF on my home PC to test it out while the carPC parts were being ordered. CF works fine, and Bluesoleil is certainly installed. Everytime I start my PC I get the balloon regarding Bluesoleil! lol. I guess I should try the trial installer...

Any other ideas?? I appreciate the responses in advance!!

I gave the trial installer a shot with no avail. It simple does not install any bluetooth stack.

I also googled centrafuse & the toshiba stack. It doesn't appear that these would work with each other. Is this true??

Where should I go from here??

Thanks!!!

I think I figured out the issue with BlueSoleil and my carPC...Windows Vista 64BIT edition!
My home PC is using 32bit and Bluesoleil installs fine!

Now what do I do...?? lol

If it helps...the installer gives me error "183". Google suggests problems with the modem drivers. However, I dont have anything missing according to my device manager

I guess BlueSoleil doesnt support WinVista 64bit edition. You don't need 64bit edition for a CarPC.

This is true, 64 bit is not necessary in a car. I did choose to buy 4gb of ram...so I want to make the most out of what I have.

I found an evaluation version of Bluesoleil that installed fine with my 64bit windows. Centrafuse still shows "no bluetooth found". Is this due to the program still being in evaluation status??

Thank you!

You must use the BlueSoleil that comes from us that is packaged w/ Centrafuse. Also, FYI, 64bit is only useful for heavy data crunching. Large computational analysis, statistical models, physics and other science related tasks. For us normal users, it has no benefit except to make things incompatible.
