Does CF draw on Windows Media Player?

Is all audio/video playback in Centrafuse acomplished using WMP?
I found an interesting thread to use Foobar thru CF, basically by replacing WMP with FooBar...

The reason I ask is, I run active crossover in my setup, which requires channel seperation, crossover DSP and output, requiring me to run a VST host as well as Virtual Audio Cable...
Whereas, Foobar allows crossover (and convolution) among other things, not the least of which is ASIO support, resampling (over sampling) and kernel streaming output...all from the media player itself!
This would simplify my setup considerably...

However, if CF uses WMP for video playback as well, then this could be a problem, as Foobar doesn't do video (as far as I know!)...
I don't much watch videos in the car though.

But what I'm really interested is the K-mixer by-pass (bit perfect) and oversampling!

Well, long story short, this doesn't work
Is there a way to replace the playback engine in CF?
Maybe an option for media playback engine in CF 3 at least?

CF uses low level DirectX calls and does not rely or 'piggyback' off any other media player. We've nothing but positive remarks about the quality of our playback engine. We may look into adding an ability to make your own media playback engine one day, but right now (and for v3) this is how it will stay.

Thanks for the reply Reagan...
I don't have any problem with the quality of playback...I'm just searching for the 'Holy Grail' of carputer audio rendering...
