Advanced Video Recording Settings

How do I set advanced video settings for recording? Centrafuse has only a few settings for video and recording with Centrafuse was total disappointment for me.

I'm using a webcam and first I thought the webcam is crap but then I started to use AMCAP(standart softwares of almost all webcams) and I get very good results. There are lots of settings on AMCAP like exposure, contrast, color correction etc.. I had captured a 15 min 640x480 30 fps video and it has created 17 GB of file

So my question
Could AMCAP can be used as a video recording engine on Centrafuse? I couldnt get good results with Centrafuse defualt plugin.

You're right about the webcam support being rudimentary at best. Perhaps a good workaround would be to embed your existing Webcam app as an external application. That way you get the features you want right now, but still hae easy access to Centrafuse. I think the original goal for this particular plugin might have been to provide a quick way to implement a backup camera of some kind. More of a single purpose short use scenario, rather than the production of lengthy movies.

I might add that it is unlikely this will change much in the foreseeable future. Maybe a good project for a new plugin?

AMCAP is a small size (308KB) and powerful software that enables to control your webcam. I said it is "powerful" because I got very good results with a 20$ webcamera.

It might be a good idea to implement it as a plugin but AMCAP is not very useful as an external application. To me, I'm not interested in parking aids or any backup cameras. Recording a video in a legible quality is quite important for me. It may be for a track day or a daily drive.

and even more we can make it more complicated by providing some overlayed datastreams like Racechrono or Trackvision. Imagine.

May be I should already have started a plugin request as I'm not a coder.
