Delorme LT-40, CF doesnt see it...ARRRH HELP!

So I recently purchased Delorme "Street Atlas 2009" that came with an LT-40 USB GPS receiver.

The receiver is recognized by both Windows and the Delorme software, but when I lauch the NAV in CF (2.0) I have a red X through the car icon. I went into advanced settings and my port choices are "Communications Port (Com1), Bluetooth Serial Port (Com3), and Bluetooth Serial Port (Com4).

I selected Com1, but dont see any other options that look like they need to be adjusted.

Anyone know what else I can try? I've never used a GPS receiver or software in CF, this is my first attempt. Thanks!

I use two usb aerials and one bluetooth aerial to run the three navigation programs i use and ive found that two things need to be done.

First all my aerials show up on the cf settings page as serial -usb or blue tooth they show which port they are on and if the old gps programme is using the port then Cf cant access the data. So you may need to go into the old gps program and change the port setting to another number because you cant run two programs on one aerial unless you can get xPort to work you may need to go into windows add new hardware then plug your usb gps aerial in and wait for the drivers to load then it should i think it load up serial usb device then go into cf nav settings and click on the serial usb port and save it

Second Cf can take ages to lock on to satalites and does not seem to show any but then it will if every thing is ok will then lock numerous satalites and show your positioni have found Navigator 7 and Memory map access the gps signals quicker than Cf even though cf is the lowest port number.
Hope this helps

Did you try the Delorme Serial Port Emulator, available here DeLorme Serial Emulation Driver for Earthmate GPS Receivers?

It provides a virtual com port for the USB GPS units.
