Hello,
for using the SPACENAVIGATOR, the SDK from 3DConnexion does'nt help 1.) Download or use the enclosed CD to setup the default driver software for SPACENAVIGATOR 2.) Download the RBC9 package http://rbc.duckinegg.com/?dir=&downl...-+SpaceNav.rar and the RBC9 documentation http://rbc.duckinegg.com/?dir=&downl...eNav+-+Doc.rar 3.) Read this http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=336 That's all to use it with CFMy configuration is up to now like rbc9_cf.zip You have to place this into your personal files path of your PC Hope that helps Wolfgang928 Last edited by wolfgang928; November 25th, 2007 at 06:40 AM. |

I'm using the RBC9 driver too. It's pretty slick. As Wolfgang said, install standard driver then install RBC9 driver. If your display is configured for more than 800x600 you can use the GUI to configure it (mine is set to 640x480 so I can't use the gui in the car).
My settings: Twist - volume +/- Forward/Back - scroll wheel lift - media menu push down fast - pause push down slow - main menu slide left/right - track forward/back left button - enter I'm not using the roll l/r/f/b or the right button. I wanted to use roll for GPS pan but I decided against it as my wife told I was messing around with the controls too much. |

You can also experiment with programming different key strokes to different actions (so that every possible combination is mapped) and then either map or don't map them in CF. I mapped the side buttons as well as the other things to obscure key combinations I know are not being used and then when I want to change some of the mapping, I use CF instead of opening the RBC9 application (it doesn't display at the resolution I run my screen at). You edit the hot keys and then twist, pull, pinch, squeeze... you get the picture
