Joycon working on an Audi

Hi.

I have bought a steering wheel with controls for the stereo on it so i can control my pc.

Are the 2 wires shown in the pic the ones that joycon use?

Cheers

Hello. sherry69
If it is sure that the 2 wires are from steering wheel control, it must be resistance - output.
The black wire will be GND, orange wire will be DATA.
It can be connected to CarPC JoyCon.

I recieved my joycon today.

in the software i get a red indicator that flashes on the right hand side.

i cant do anything with it.

i test it by touching the 2 connectors together and it went to the left hand side which i believe is working ok.

any ideas please?

Try swap black and orange wire.

Flashing of red indicator at right hand side, means the remote controller has resistance.

Does the red indicator stay at same position when you press buttons?

Is there any other wire other than black and orange wire from your remote controller?

Look carefully if there is power wire that is supplied to your remote controller .
If your remote controller has power wire, it is not resistance-output.

And when you test, do not touch the stripped wire.
Because Human body is a resistance two.

Your remote controller must be resistance-output.

Does the red indicator have different position when the buttons are pressed?
If different position, how far each other?

usually when no button is pressed, the resistance is infinity(this means cut off) and the red indicator do not appear.

It is strange that your remote controller always has resistance.

Bu if the intervals between the red indicators of buttons are wide enough, it is normal even though the red indicator flash when all buttons are released.

The stopped position of buttons are same? or different?
