Yep, I'm using the RBC9 driver too -works pretty well.
Would be very nice to have official support though, and then the plugin can allow the device to have different (and configurable) functions in each screen - take the main screen for example:
Rotate the device left/right will allow you to cycle left or right through main screens.....making selection easier.
At the same time, left/right rotation would be volume up/down while in radio/dvd/iPod/media-player screens for example.....
As I mentioned, 3dConnexion software dev Jim is pretty keen on doing this plug-in, he basically needs some input from Fluxmedia devs.......
Shouldn't be to hard, I guess, for one of the devs to contact Jim over at their forums?
I did send Scott/David Jim's email details, and I know Scott forwarded it to Flux devs, so we can only hope they will get in touch with Jim, which hasn't happened yet.
Anyway, it would be great to have official support, and will finally provide us with the ultimate front-end -
I guess at the end of the day, it's the total solution that matters to consumers - the software on it's own is great, but we need more -> and at this point in time, it's a very basic requirement that doesn't have support (yet).
Not everyone wants/needs touch-screens, they add significantly to the glare-factor, and detract from screen-clarity/sharpness.
So, we need something like the iDrive controller BMW uses, and this device can be it - the all-in-one solution to control the frontend.
All Fluxmedia needs to do is to contact Jim -> please guys
