The problem is on two complete different Computer.
First ist my Laptop used as Car PC with all relevant Applications around like Xport,... Second is my Desktop PC with no Applications at all. Different Soundcard, Graphiccard, Processor, Keyboard.... I do not think that there is a relation to a background programm. How could it be when running in Fullscreen the problem appears running in a smaller resolution it does not appear. My guess is the same as mangus580 has mentioned. I believe that running the Navigation part in Fullscreen something take the focus of the Application after some seconds. Furthermore I could reproduce this issue now also on a 3rd Computer |

Still happens on RC6, though the release notes seem to indicate that it should be fixed ("Navigation whereto dialog loses focus").
It happens even on a clean XP Home SP2 install, where basically no other apps are installed, or at least not running - not even a virus scanner. It does not matter whether CF is in fullscreen or not. I actually have about 1/2 second before focus is stolen, so it is possible to very quickly type 3-4 characters. Scott: Maybe try it on your G4 test PC. Keyboard Issue in Nav
Hi, I seem to have the same issue on my laptop, Can get a couple of letters typed in eg address and lose ability to input via laptops built in keypad, if I click my mouse back in typing area, I have found I can add another letter, then I must repeat the process for additional letters. OSK works fine as does keyboard operations in other areas.
Works fine on my home Vista 64 sys, problem exists on my XP pro Asus Laptop, it has a touchpad if that may give you somewhere to look for bug, I will study and post back on this issue. Nice software, but I do desire TTS (roadnames spoken) and seperate POI Group spoken alerts. Thanks |

Attached are two system reports from the keyboard issue laptop, the first with a setup that allows keyboard to function correctly in Nav areas, the second is my normal setup.
The difference is to do with laptops screen resolution settings and settings in Centrafuses settings under grafhics in adv mode. If I have my lappys screen resolution set for 1024 X 768 and have the same set in Centrafuse, keyboard issue in Nav is present. The same happens if I set centrafuse to 800 x 600 and set it to "fullscreen" whilst retaining my prefered laptop screen res of 1024 x 768. The problem is still present if I set my screen resolution to 800 x 600 and set centrafuse to the same, with or without fullscreen set to on. The problem disappears if I set my screen resolution to 1024 x 768, and set Centrafuse to 800 x 600 and have fullscreen setting set to off. Hope this helps with issue clafication and repair to the reported, "Keyboard focus problem in Nav", when using fullscreen resolutions or setting to run Centafuse with fullscreen option selected. Cheers |

Hi Scott
I also notice that keyboard presses of "." will show as a "1/2" and all non letters do the same on both my laptop xp and my vista 64 trial setups. It is once again in Nav and happens when typing in a suburb for example and using system keyboard on all keys that are not letters, it might be a issue latter when someone wants to type "gosford (NSW)" they will be unable to press a "(". Cheers Stephen |
