OBD in Polo 6N 1997 ??

It's me again

Short question: I want to use OBD but I dont know whether my car supports it and I dont know which interfaces I have to use.

Is a Polo 6N driver out there who uses OBD successfully?
Do you know which interfaces (especially USB) I have to use?

Does the OBD even works in a Polo 6N (yom. 1997)?

Please excused my clerical mistakes
Thx a lot!

Thanks for your help, nitwala!

Now I know which protocol my car is supporting (ISO9141-2 or ISO14230-4) but I dont know with interfaces (i prefer USB than COM) I have to use.

Which OBD-Interface could you advise?

Thanks!

The USB interface turns it into a virtual COM port anyways. But if you want a USB one you can check out these

I bought this one for my car.

Here is another that supports multiple OBDII protocols
