Trial - Phone - Getting Windows Mobile to work

Please give a brief description of the issue here
Getting Windows Mobile to work

Which product are you experiencing this problem with
Trial

What version of Centrafuse are you running
2.0

What module in Centrafuse are you experiencing this issue in
Phone

Are you able to reproduce this bug at will
Yes

What were you doing when you encountered the bug
I am new to the CarPC space, but quite experienced when it comes to Windows Mobile. However, no matter what I try, I cannot get the phone dialing, phone call history, and other functionality working.

I have tried two different laptops (XP and Vista), and three different WM6 and 6.1 devices.

I have converted both laptops to the MS BT stack, am using the internal BT hardware, and have tried both the BlueSoeil software that comes with CF, and from their web site.

In all scenarios the device will pair, but that's no phone control

So any help would be most appreciated.

What I do know is that if CF uses Dial Up Networking (DUN), then this was removed from WM6, and replaced with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).

Are the PC specs under your user name the same as the system you are reporting this bug for
Yes

If you answerd 'No' above, then please detail your system here

You cant use the MS BT Stack. You must use the Bluesoleil stack that comes with CF and only this as it is the only stack that will communicate with CF.

A better understanding of what Centrafuse is intended to do with your phone is in order: Centrafuse Carputer, CarPC & UMPC Forums - FAQ: Phone

Regarding the BlueSoleil release from BlueSoleil: Centrafuse Carputer, CarPC & UMPC Forums - FAQ: Phone

You cannot use the Microsoft stack with Centrafuse. You must use only the BlueSoleil stack that comes with Centrafuse. As outlined in the FAQ link I posted above, it is a custom build to meet our needs.

Bug report closed as this is not a bug but rather an issue with user education.

If you still have questions, please start a thread in the general comments section so we can keep the bug forums for just bugs.
