VWCDPIC Plugin

This plugin has been created to work with the VWCDPIC.

It is much like the Car2PC except you can make it youself :-) At the moment it isn't very customisable. All you have to do is set the COM Port which the VWCDPIC is plugged in to and you are off.

Controls are as follows:

Next: Next Track
Previous: Previous Track
Next Playlist: Pause
Previous Playlist: Mute
Play: Shuffle (I know it looks confusing but on the Concert II it seems logical)
MDisable (Head unit off): Pause
MEnable: Head unit on): Play
CD1: Main Menu
CD2: Media
CD3: NAV
CD4: Phone
CD5: Mixer
CD6: nothing

If anyone has any ideas for this plugin, ie: would like me to add customisation. Please let me know! I am always open to ideas. I'm also happy to answer any questions you might have on the VWCDPIC or how to use it.

As this plugin is not at all visual, I thought I would include a picture of the setup screen, as unexciting as it may be.

VERSION 1.5 UPDATE 25/11/2008
- Fixed problem with MENABLE being sent twice by the headunit, meaning the player stayed paused. The second MENABLE is now ignored so playback can continue.
- Added automatic play feature so as playback will continue when returning from hibernate/standby.
- Technical fix: Added connection/disconnection when going in and out of hibernate/standby to avoid any connection issues.

Hello, could you make it compatible with CAR2PC?. The current CAR2PC plugin does not work well.

Not likely. It would be more appropriate to write a new plugin rather than build off this one, and as there is already a Car2PC plugin in development it seems senseless to start another.

But hey, you can always build yourself a VWCDPIC (Costs approx $10US or so in parts, or you can order a pre-built one for $60US) and use this plugin instead!

Unfortunately VWCDPIC is not compatible with my car, I have installed CAR2PC, but the plugin for CAR2PC of Nerve is not working properly and not long ago that fixes the bug.
Anyway thank you, your plugins are very useful.
