New File Added: FuelEco

Downloads: A new file has been added by Tod:

FuelEco

This Plug-in is designed to record your fuel and mileage details at the pump.

Basically if ask you three questions:
1. How much fuel you just put in (litres/Gallons)
2. How much it cost you
3. What your Tachometer reads (Kilometers/Miles)

The plug-in will then give you a graphed and totalled MPG and PPM. Allowing you to track how your driving habit effect your economy over time. It will also show you if upgrades/servicing is actually helping your economy. It should also be able to show you if there is a problem with your engine as well, as a sudden, prolonged drop in MPG would indicate engine trouble.

Once you start using this plug-in you MUST use it every time you fill up, or you will need to wipe your data. Missed data will skew the results.

The plugin is not working for me. Using default Aura skin.

Extracted the folder FuelEco to C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\Plugins. In settings, FuelEco menu is detected but the text field is blank. However, I could still select the blank text menu and click on setup to bring up the config page for FuelEco (looks normal here).

I proceeded to add FuelEco to an unassigned button. Button has the default generic icon but no text (probably pick up the blank from above).

The plugin only load a black square to the top right of the screen when I clicked on the assigned button. Nothing else appear.

My sincerest apologies to anyone who has already downloaded this. It wouldn't have worked.

Basically because it relied on the configuration variables being present in the config file. It worked on my development PC because I had set them.

I have uploaded a new version and tested it as a new installation. If you looking to get the previous version working, just add the following lines to you documents and settings\<user name>\local settings\application data\centrafuse\plugins\fueleco\config.xml document BELOW the <LOGEVENTS> line:

<METRICTACH>False</METRICTACH>
<METRICFUEL>True</METRICFUEL>

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Your new file is still in moderation queue so I'm making do with adding the the lines you mentioned and could get it up. Data entry works with metric units options. However, the graphs and stats are still in imperial units. Also could do with having currency options i.e. $

Last but not least thanks for the plugin.
