Skype plug-in
Is there any plans for a Skype plug in?
It would be perfect as a 'free' car phone.

Here it is guys.
This is the new Skype plugin that allows you to control Skype from within Centrafuse.
It's supporting Chat, Voice calls, Voice-Mail, SMS and a lot of other stuff.
Have a look at the User manual before you download and install it. It'll explain some important steps.
Important: To run this plugin you must have Skype 3.6 or higher installed. Needless to say, that you need a valid Skype account as well.
Be aware that this plugin is compiled for CF 2.0! It's supposed to be running under 1.4x, however no warranties.
Here's the software for download ( Beta, will expire).
If you want to test voice calls, you can add me to your contacts and ping me. *** removed (some people don't seem to know about time zones) ***
Update 1:- Added Auto Answer option
- Added tabs for chatting with up to 4 contacts.
On a side not: I've tested it today while driving using a 3G internet connection. Everthing worked as expected. Amazing sound quality on voice calls (no echo at all, no drop-outs). Also, sending the current location to your chat partner containing the link to Google maps turned out to be a very useful feature (don't use it as you're at your girlfriends site while chatting with your wife though )
Update 2:- Added connection loss logic and delayed Skype initialization

Hey Zorro... this is not cool. Why are you keeping all this good stuff from us?
I would love to see Skype plugin in CF.

Because if I release it, you'll be the first one to report bugs
... or maybe because I started writing it two days ago and it's not finished yet...
But hey, need beta testers though... so if you have a Skype account add me to your contacts (zoran dot horvat) and add "Wanna test your plugin" as intro message.

I have no link. Add me to your contacts and I'll send you the binaries (and some quick instructions too).
