Yust some quick thinking : My current car has a nice feature. When you spray your front window, it will automaticly turn the ACC to use internal ventialtion for a couple of seconds. After that, it will go into normal use.
With this feature, you don;t have the smell of the screen spray in your card. I forget the smell everytime and get reminded when I spray with the window open.

Perhaps something like that could be implemtended in the plugin ? Like : detect spraying : set to internal : wait couple of secs : back to normale ventilation.

Hey pearl62 and Koffie,

The plugin is still sitting patiently, waiting for me to actually get off my backside and get the carPC going. 2 weeks ago I finally gave up trying to build my own VWCDPIC which I need to interface my head unit with the PC and I just ordered one. I've been a bit distracted from this project for a while but I've finally got some finances crying out to be spend so I can actually get back into my plugin programming.

I like your thinking Koffie, It would require the addition of some analog phidget inputs as well as an output to control the ventilation button but it is most certainly possible. It would be tricky to add customisable event functions but not impossible... Hmmm. I could allow you to 'program' actions to the inputs through the config screens just using basic keywords. I'm hoping to set up the application to recognise all of the different types of phidget interface kits so this wouldn't be much of a stretch beyond that.

I think you have given me the motivation to avoid real work and responsibility and do my own thing instead! Yay!

Funny you should ask I'm just about to order a new 0/0/4 Phidget controller and I've already ordered by new motherboard and PSU so the hardware is on the way.

On the coding side of things I haven't gone back to play with having the plugin constantly visible on the main screen or played with transparencies... yet. I've been distracted by other projects, but I will be coming back to this one shortly. I've discovered a whole lot since I first made this plugin so it will be funny to go back and look at what I wrote. I'm going to guess it is fairly sloppy.

Expect more in this space in 2-3 weeks, with any luck I'll have it running by that stage.

WTG Diablo...I'm watching closely, as my setup will require me to integrate the HVAC into CF as well...
I don't think I'll go climate control, but I'll need servo control and motor speed controller. Coding will be my biggest issue.
BTW, I noticed Phidgets 30A speed controller is 'missing'? I saw it, and bookmarked it, but I can't seem to find it again. Hmmm
