Hello,

here is my POILOGGER and POIWARNER Overlay plugin for CF2.x

This is a tool for logging interesting POI's and also have a POI WARNING function,
which is independent from using navigation or not.

Instead of % you have to use %DISTANCE% (and additionally at your request %CATNAME% and/or %DESCRIPTION%
- Imperial length output now in feet (before in yards)
- additional speech to text fields inside POI and CATEGORY records available
CATEGORY speech text can be modified with SETUP dialog, POI specific speech texts only during poi import
- documentation modified

Please pay attention that this package has an all types poi database included with over 146 thousend records. If you select nearly all categories and then define a wider select radius this plugin will definity slow down your pc while searching and creating the warn window every few seconds.

Unzipped files can not find CFPOILOG.msi


Looks very interesting, I have GPS antenna (using external app for gps) but only running standard version of CF.
Well this work I note you mention corresponding device settings are made inside CF.

BUGFIXES in version 0.9.5.4

+ added sound support for POI voice warning
+ new dialog for automatic category insert into database
+ some corrections for path and file finding in case of incorrect setup settings
+ added support for logging poi without external hardware key (via CF main button)
+ language support for English, German, Italian (Thanks to AL)
+ added german sound files (others are welcome)
+ added POI database for Europe (August 2007)

Next features:
+ Text-to-Speech support for dynamic speech output
+ using the direction information coded inside the ASC files to be more exact
in poi direction warning.

I would need more language support files for other languages, please help.
If someone find more bugs, please sen me a message.

I have one question. How can I import POI into this database? Im convert my Garmin-s POI into .asc(Generic ASCII) But in settings this plugin doesn't recognize it. Which format of POI i must have for import?

Hallo,

the ascci file format *.ASC should be like the following example

6.745680,51.270170,"16695|Düsseldorf|A44"

where the first is the longitude, then latitude, then "Description"
The Description must be in double quotes and the latitude and logitude must be with '.' not ',' because by importing this data a conversion is made.

Up to now the ASC file should have
a description like
"zipcode | City | Street"

without the two '|' it doesn't work, but i will fix it for the next update to accept
descriptions with only one string.

Is there any reason why you have changed the default Centrafuse pathing to C:\Programme\Centrafuse\Plugins\ rather than C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\Plugins.

I have extracted your zip files to both paths as I have my CF set to the default used by CF.

Hi cpufix,

the only reason is that in german Windows C:\Programme is used and i found flux-media a little bit to long, nothing else.

You could change the target directory as you like.

Ok, for me doesn't work. What Im do:
1. Centrafuse have instaled in deafult folder: C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse
2. on Plugin folder Im create new folder: "POILogger" in this folder I was copy next files:
-Bitmaps folder from Poilogger1_1.ZIP
-Languages folder from Languages.ZIP
-Skins folder from Skins.ZIP
-Styles.txt
-POI.mdb
-config.XML
-PoiLogger.dll (version 0.9.4.0)
and
-POI folder with my POI .asc files

There is screenshoots of my settings:




then i was click on "Click to select POI category" and select all:

and then close dialog and save settings.
If I open POILOGGER I have Category list but I don't have nothing in POI list.
