Volume Plugin with GPS and OBDII
Hi,
I have modified the existing volume plugin so now it can use OBDII speed value too. Here is the source and plugin. You should just need to overwrite the volume.dll file inside the current volume plugin folder. Also, I just added "ENABLE GPS OR OBDII VOLUME" inside the english.xml file so its makes a little more sense. You can copy that too. Please test it out and let me know if it works. UPDATE: Added "USE PRE LEVEL" option in setup UPDATE: GPS & ODBII is working. Attached are the updated files. Copy the volume folder into the plugins folder and overwrite all the files. I only have "English.xml" right now. Need more language files! Translators: Please post the language files for this plugin. UPDATE: The volume will now increase or decrease gradually when changing from one speed level to another. MAIN volume dialog box is hidden so it does not show up in middle when change speeds. Language files modified and attached. UPDATE: Installer created. UPDATE: New version compatible with 2.0 RC1. UPDATE: New version compatible with 2.0 Final New Feature: Works with Phone -- When in phone call you can disable the auto volume level and set the PRE/Wave level NOTE: If you are using the old plugin please delete the old plugin folder. Installer coming soon... Download Link User Manual - Click Here EVERYONE, PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY

Seems great, I'll try out when I'll finish OBDII cabling...
When this plugin was released I've asked to make some changes: It's not useful (for me) to have fixed volumes for fixed speed: it could be more interesting if the plugin increases the default CF volume by a % basing on speed: i.e.: CF volume to 10, speed 10km/h: final volume to 10 CF volume to 10, speed 100km/h: final volume to 12 CF volume to 20, speed 10km/h: final volume to 20 CF volume to 20, speed 10km/h: final volume to 24 or something similar.... Bye, AL |

Are you trying to to do the opposite? Like, when speed is 10km/h it will use a range of Volume 1 to Volume 2?... I am a little confused. |

Is it possible to use the "pre" channel instead of the "main" volume, this way you get only an extra amplification and its not changing your main volume. you can make an entry in the settings page. "select channel to use"
You also might want to read this post: Some general features

Hmm... just noticed that there is no PRE in the SDK.
There is no "this.CF_setMixerLevel(CF_MixerDevices.PRE,int);" David: Is this missing or is there some other way to set the PRE value? |
